The F15SMHA and F15LMHA use pull-start operation and manual tilt. Choose between the listed 15-inch and 20-inch shafts based on your boat, not which one looks easier to buy.
Electric-start convenience
The listed F15LEHA and F15LPHA configurations add electric starting with a 20-inch shaft. Confirm the required starting battery, cables, and installation details before ordering.
Choose your tilt setup
F15LPHA adds power tilt. The other configurations listed here use manual tilt. Power tilt does not change the shaft length your boat needs or remove its mounting requirements.

Yamaha lists an F15 model-family weight range of 111 to 132 lb. Do not treat the lightest figure as the weight of every configuration. Confirm the exact motor weight before checking transom limits or planning transport.
Get the fit right
Horsepower is the first check. Not the only one.
The 12-foot Rover Marine Battle Boat currently lists a maximum of 20 HP and a 15-inch transom. A 15 HP motor falls below that published horsepower ceiling, making the short-shaft configuration the one to discuss for that listed setup.
That is not a complete fit approval. Check your actual boat's capacity plate, model year, transom, motor-weight limit, and installation instructions. Do not select a 20-inch shaft just to get electric start or power tilt.
Match the rating
Confirm that your exact boat permits 15 HP. A rating for one Rover size does not apply to every Battle Boat or Battle Cat.
Match the transom
Use the boat's specified shaft length and Yamaha's mounting instructions. A transom measurement is a starting point, not a substitute for checking the complete installation.
Count the whole load
Include passengers, the exact motor, fuel or battery, and gear when checking your boat's loading limits. Confirm mounting hardware and steering clearance too.

Shipping and timing
Motor availability, shipping options, and delivery timing depend on the selected configuration and destination. Check the order details with POP before planning a launch date.
Return eligibility
Eligible return requests must be made within 60 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original packaging. Approved returns carry a 15% restocking fee, with customer-paid return shipping and non-refundable original shipping charges.
Motors require additional review. Contact POP before installation, use, or sending a motor back.
Yamaha warranty
Motor coverage is separate from POP's board and dock warranties. Confirm the Yamaha terms, registration requirements, and coverage that apply to your purchase, region, and intended use.

Which Yamaha 15 HP configurations are listed here?
The listed choices are F15SMHA with a 15-inch shaft, manual start, and manual tilt; F15LMHA with a 20-inch shaft, manual start, and manual tilt; F15LEHA with a 20-inch shaft, electric start, and manual tilt; and F15LPHA with a 20-inch shaft, electric start, and power tilt. All four use tiller control. Check the selector above for current order availability.
Should I choose a 15-inch or 20-inch shaft?
Choose the shaft specified for your boat's transom and installation. Do not choose a longer shaft simply to obtain a different starting or tilt option. Send POP your boat model and transom information when you need help identifying what to check.
Will this motor fit my Rover boat?
The listed 12-foot Battle Boat allows up to 20 HP and specifies a 15-inch transom, so the short-shaft F15 is a configuration to evaluate for that boat. Final suitability also depends on your actual boat's rating, motor weight, mounting, and setup. This is not a fit guarantee for all Rover models.
Are the battery, fuel tank, and propeller included?
Do not assume those items are included for every configuration. Ask POP to confirm the exact package contents, starting-battery requirements, fuel-system parts, and installation needs before ordering.
How fast will a 15 HP motor make my boat go?
There is no single speed figure that applies to every boat. Hull design, load, propeller, mounting, conditions, and setup affect performance. We do not promise a top speed or planing performance for an untested boat-and-motor combination.
Can I order a configuration marked sold out?
A sold-out configuration is not available for online purchase through this page. Use the inquiry form to ask about availability. Submitting a question does not place an order or reserve stock.
Can I return the motor after installing or using it?
Do not assume an installed or used motor is returnable. POP's return policy requires eligible items to be unused and in original packaging, with authorization before return. Motor returns receive additional review. See Returns and Refunds before purchase.
